Well, farts are "obnoxious" gases emanating from human beings as well as animals when there is a stomach upset. So wheather its from yourself or from others it stinks. All one can do is to close ones nose and stop breathing for a while so that the gas gets diluted in the air or tolerate the bad smell for few seconds.
