Did anorexia stunt my growth?

I'm 16, and I'm really short and thin for my age. I think this may have something to do with my lack of eating as a child, because during my puberty years (like 12-14) I was basically anorexic and always underweight. Now at 16 I'm 5'2" and weigh about 100 pounds (I'm eating now) but I have absolutely no boobs or butt or anything. My parents are both over 6 feet tall so I'm very surprised that I'm short like this. Is there still a chance to grow or did I miss my chance?

Answer:
Osteoporosis is, unfortunately, a disease that results from anorexia.

Get professional help before your health isn't impacted further.
My sister is 5'3 and weighs 100 pounds. It's completely normal.

I have a 26-year-old neighbor who barely ate as a child. Her dad even took her took the doctor, but he said there was nothing wrong with her. She used to be so thin. She is 5'8 today, and still thin.

It's just your type of body chemistry.
probably.as you were 'pretty much anorexic' in your words you probably werent getting enough nourishment to grow a healthy body.also maybe you have developed a very fast metabolism...i havent been 100 lbs since i was 12.lol.perhaps if you are worried you could see a doctor?
sweetie your only 16 eat healthy fill in the empty spots ull have another 5-6 inches by the time your 18 = ) then when u hit 21 call me
Honestly- I doubt that anorexia stunted your growth because I was anorexic at 12. Now, I'm 14 and I am 5'8'' and weigh 150lbs- course- I am a boy and we grow more. I grew 4 inches more when I was anorexic. You should eat a lot of food and drin ka lot of milk but you can still grow
Yes and No.

Not eating during puberty could have stunted your growth. It's medically possible.

It's also medically possible that you just didn't get the tall genes from your parents. It's also possible that you're still growing (I didn't get any boobs or butt until after I started college).

If this is something that really bothers you, you should ask your parents to take you to a doctor that specializes in genetics -- they can do tests to determine if you should have been taller, or if you've grown the way your body was set up to.
It's probably the result of late development. You know, late bloomers. Your pituitary gland maybe isn't producing enough hormones that make you have features that are distinctly feminine. Your physical development isn't affected by your anorexia, for hormones control the most part of your development. Hormones depend on the functionality of your glands. It doesn't matter how little you eat but how nutritious the food you eat. Hope I helped.
I have the same problem, sort of. I'm 5 feet exactly (I'm almost 17). My parents are both about 6 ft. I had thyroid problems as a child (when I was 4) and stopped growing completly but got treated. I developed the condition again but there isn't anything I can do. The bone plates close when you're 15 or over and growth hormones can't even help out :( I just plan to play basketball and volleyball maybe hopefully that will give me another inch or so. But yeah anorexia does stunt your growth. Your body produces growth hormones but they dont do anything unless you take the recommended daily supplement of calcium and vitamin D. And you said you had anorexia when you were 14 also well thats basically when your bone plates stop closing.
as long as your eating now that all you got to worry about an if your going to grow you will but you got to eat right so you can give your self a change ok
yours

honestly i went to my doctor and she said that women dont finish growing their breasts till they are in their early 20's. so you just have to be patient!
