generally they can give some medications but they may need to put in burr holes
it depends on what the pressure is resulting from-
if it is blood within there then they can evacuate it sometimes but other times they cant- sometimes it just has to resolve on its own (much like a bruise)
ICP can be treated with medication to a limited extent.
However, if the pressure rises above a certain threshold, they will have to operate to remove a portion of the skull. This will give the brain some room to swell without putting pressure on the brain stem (which could trigger a parasympathetic reaction... lower heart rate, etc).
