Does ibuprofen or naproxen have any of the same ingredients as aspirin?

Answer:
yes they are similar in their drug class but not the same ingreidiant...we just found out that my fiance was allergic to asprin so i was letting him take ibuprofen instead..then he blew up like a balloon...and the doctor said that if you are allergic to asprin then you should not take ibprofen or naproxen because of the similar ingrdiants...hope this helps we still haven't figured out what to do about his pain...
I dont think so, the ibuprofen and naproxin work on inflamation of things. asprin will also but it thins your blood.
No. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, asprin is a pain reliever, and naproxen I think is a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory.
They are different ingredients, however they are a related kind of medication. If you have allergies to any of them, you may have a reaction with the others.
No, neither one.

Aspirin is simply aceticalicylic acid

Ibuprofen and Naprozen or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, with ingredients such as sodium acid.

The big difference is that Aspirin (the greastest drug ever invented) is a general pain reliever and a blood thinner. However it has one defect and that is it can irritate the lining of the stomach. For that reason they make them "enteric coated" for a delayed release. That means the active ingredient passes the stomach and is released lower down in the digestive tract.

Ibuprofen (also known as Motrin and Advil and Anacin) are wonderful pain relievers, especially for arthritis and muscle pains that atheletes get. Sodium Naproxen is sold mostly as ALEVE and does the same thing.

A third drug Acetametphen is often called TYENOL. It is an antipytetic, entirely different than the other drugs mentioned.
It may preferred by many and you should take it if your pharmacist or doctor advises you.

Nothing I have said should be taken as advice. Only your doctor or pharmacist should advise you as to which analgesic to take.
