Answer:
Donating blood feels about the same as far as the initial "stick." When blood is taken for tests, only a few cc's are taken; when you donate blood, a pint is taken. A normal adult has about 5 quarts of blood in his/her body, so a pint is only about 10% of your blood volume. You may feel a bit light-headed after donating; it's important to drink plenty of orange juice and eat afterward. Most blood banks keep plenty of orange juice and peanut butter and crackers around for donors.
getting a blood test they take a tube or maybe even 2 or 3 tubes, depending on the test.when donating blood they take a pint of blood, you feel a little headed when its done,...make sure you eat before donating!! AND No it doesn't feel the same...the needle size is different in some cases..it isn't horribly painful, but is a bit more uncomfortable than a reg. blood test
No, ti's not the 'same amount' for donating blood as in giving blood for a 'test' ... when you donate blood, you give a pint (2 cups), and you may feel 'dizzy' or even pass out (however it's usually the big strong men who pass out, not smaller women) ... and you will be doing A GOOD THING with that 'donation' of your blood ... there is someone out there who could DIE if they don't get a transfusion of blood ... and YOUR blood is going to help them to survive. GIVE BLOOD, and eat your cookies and drink your juice after, and be PROUD for doing this!
