Abilify is very expensive.
You must see your psychiatrist to get the appropriate prescription. There are a few drugs available for bipolar 1. Sometimes, it may be trial and error. Some like Abilify but some prefer other anti-psychotic drugs. There are side effects in all of the drugs.
The timing of the effects can be a few weeks. it varies from patient to patient.
I take abilify for my bipolar and schizoaffective disorders along with seraquel. I really like the abilify, my moods have been better. I'm not having such bad mood swings as before. Real high then real depressed, seeing, hearing things, hearing voices. I haven't gotten any side affects from the abilify as I have from some of the others. So I really like it.
My son takes Abilify.. Effects were seen in about a week.. Though people respond differently to meds...
It is extremly expensive... I hope you have great insurance..
