Answer:
As everyone knows anyway, all husbands are mental
and this guy of yours has gone a little overboard with the clinical cleanliness stuff and the bookwork in his head.
He is unlikely to change whether or not a doctor decides that he has a disorder of some type.
You have to question yourself whether or not this is the way YOU want to live YOUR life. 50% of your nights are spent alone, the days he is at work, so that leaves you 3 or 4 evenings to enjoy his cleanliness fettish.
If you can, give it up - seek another life.
Yes. Definitely.
It does not seem dangerous but he better talk to a psychiatrist.
OCD!
I'm not a doctor but it sounds to me as if your husband possibly has obsessive-compulsive disorder. The organization and structure of things and the "everything in it's place" mentality are all pretty tell-tale signs! At any rate, it sounds like your husband would benefit from seeing a doctor. If he refuses, you may want to consider counseling for yourself if you plan on staying married to him. Good luck!
It's all about OCD.
it might just be a serious case of O.C.D (obsessive compulsive disorder)

Agoraphobia
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Germaphobia
Reclusive for ANXIETY purposes
and Borderline Personality Disorder
Sounds a bit obsessive/compulsive.but if you can hang then maybe this is as bad as it gets.
It sounds very much like OCD to me, so I strongly recomend he get counseling for this disorder.
Aspergers? possibly. But there is definately something there. Go and see a doctor and ask their advice.
He may have OCD but he my have mutable personalty disorder but symptoms like this can be because of stress
I agree with Roger R. Are you happy? Content? Maybe your husband has OCD, maybe another woman, I dont know. How comes he is social at work? And how do you know?
But I would force him to see some specialist, because I couldnt live in this part-time marriage.
