Do you ever forget something someone said to you 10 or 15 minutes after they sai

I feel bad when someone is chatting away and a maybe 10 or 15 minutes later I don't remember something they said and they have to remind me. I think my mind starts to wander, but sometimes it's just that someone has been chattering so much that I miss something. Should I be worried about myself? Don't be mean. I'm shy about talking to people because of this.

Answer:
Happens to everyone, all ages. If I forget something from 10 minutes ago, I just say, "Sorry, my short-term memory's full. Can you remind me what you said?"

Read the following about short-term memory, working memory, and long-term memory. http://www.cdl.org/for_families/common_c...
Then read http://www.memorylossonline.com/glossary...
I'm sorry, can you repeat that?
im the same way.
No this happens to me all the time. Ill ask my bf what time he has to work the next morning and 15 mins later ill ask him again. He gets so mad and hes like I just told you. My mom told me to take ginko biloba but i forget to take that too. Oh Well.
you are okay. there is nothing wrong with you. the problem is they are doing all the talking about things you know nothing about and don't want to and not allowing you to be part of the conversation. it happens to a lot of people. it's just that most people are afraid to acknowledge it.
