Answer:
Like so many people I have had the worst thrown at me in life over and over again, but I've always been a strong person, until my mental breakdown.
The only thing that's ever helped me is this...
Might sound cliche but I say to myself "no matter how bad I'm feeling thousand more are feeling even worse right now"
Sometimes thinking about kids cut down early by cancer or other horrible illnesses always stops me from self-defeating thoughts and further meltdowns. It's a struggle but everyone has their demons, that's what I hold on to.
I always think things could be worse. I could live in Darfur or Baghdad.
Eh? What problem exactly?

Of course it is always wiser to figure out what it is that you did which may have caused this problem. Then figure a different way of doing something that will give you a better result next time.
However, problems no matter what we do, do raise it's ugly head and those are the times that we need to persevere and accept those issues as a chance to learn and grow in our maturity.
Depends what the problem it is. If it's work related then that tends to be more troublesome. If it's family then I try and sort it straight away.
However i do tend to be a worrier and get upset.
tell me more. but so far you cope by knowing no matter how you feel people do love you. you stop looking at the bad things smile and look at good things. if you can't help your self you help others.
I cope with problems by doing several things that are tools to my happiness. First of all, I have a written and a subsequent gratitude list that I go over all the time. It's not possible (or it's very, very hard) for two thoughts to occupy the same space at the same time. The other thing I do is listen to music as often as I can during the day. I listen to positive music and this sets my mood for the entire day. But most importantly, I went to see a good therapist for a year and he taught me how to change the way I feel by changing the way I think. I also help people whenever and wherever I can.
you "just have to"! when a problem arises you just have to deal with it.
Not only do I cope with problems, I meet them head on, wrestle them to the ground, beat them to death, kick them a few times to make sure they're really dead, and then brood over them for all eternity.
well if you count cutting as coping, then yes. it's a bad method but it works for me. i am trying to stop though.
