I haven't been carried out to the mental institute yet. There are lots of people who hear voices. And my voice just happens to be a friendly one. It's not really me talking to myself in my head. It's just...like a whisper. A "consiounce" if you would like to call it that. And it talks to me. I usually don't talk back to it, but the weirdest thing is...he shows up in my dreams, as different people. The same voice in a woman's body, a man's body, a dog's body, and once even as a lamp. I'm not going crazy, and there are people who are perfectly normal who walk around and hear voices all the time.

Depends alot of people here voices because they are over medicated. You know they give you a daily perscription if you have an ingrown toenail these days.
what about the ones like Joan of Arc? they are considered martyrs by their religion, not nutcases.

Soft voices like your conscience could be you - your conscience. But yes, some people who hear voices would not be considered insane particularly if it's supported by your culture. Also, regardless of culture, if it's not a problem for you, don't make it one.
