But there are certain times when people walk up to me and my heart starts to beat fast, I get scared, and I start to breath fast.
I am happy then all of a sudden I get sad and feel like crying.
Sometimes when I am just sitting here my breathing gets fast and I skip heart beats so I do like 5 quick breaths.
Im always scared something bad will happen.
When I cry it is hard to breathe kinda.
And I have a small case of OCD. Haha, not a whole lot. Just a little.
But do I have anxiety?
Answer:
What you describe is actually a panic attack, which is closely related to anxiety.
It would be important for you to find a way to calm down easily and practice it as much as possible. I would recommend you see a psychologist but if it's not too frequent, you can probably handle it on your own.
Try to think of something or somewhere peacefull while breathing slowly in by the nose and out by the mouth.
If you need additional advice on this, there's a very good online book I found on the subject: http://redir.juzaz.com/?site=anxiety...
Yes. You do.
sounds like anxiety and depression. a lot of times these two disorders go hand in hand. i would talk to your local md for starters.
Yes, I think it is anxiety. I have anxiety too, and spent my teen years feeling like you, and not knowing. The anxiety eventually escalated into full blown panic attacks, but that was after I had kids, and my hormnes were out of whack. It might help tp talk to your doctor, or a therapist, but please consider not taking any meds unless the anxiety worsens to an unbearable point. I say this b/c once you start the meds, you must stay on them for awhile, and wean off slowing, which can make those anxious feelings appear again- only much worse. Once you take meds, it is usually a life long therapy and trial and error.
Instead,
breathe slowly and deeply for a min or two. Remind yourself that you are perfectly okay, and this moment will soon pass. You sound like you have a touch of social anxiety disorder. Google it and read up on it- that way when you experience these moments, you will know that you have ead about it, and you will be okay. Instead of panicking or thinking something more is wrong with you. Good look and take those deep relaxing breaths! ;0)
yes you have anxiety and maybe a small small case of depression. nothing serious you should grow out of it.
