Answer:
People with various mental disorders often self medicate with alcohol or drugs. It is a very short term solution for a long term problem and can actually exacerbate the symptoms. Please talk to a professional counselor. Don't try to diagnose your symptoms yourself. You owe it to yourself to get your life back on track. I'm not sure why you stopped the depression meds but you really didn't give them enough time. While most of the SSRI class of medications will start to work after three to four weeks, it can take longer in some patients to reach the therapeutic dose. Patients need to be open and frank with their doctor about their symptoms so that he/she can consider adjusting the dosage. best wishes
SOUNDS TO ME AS IF YOU'RE A BIT PARANOID - SEE A DOCTOR PLEASE
Your jealous, and have too many phobias for one person. Get an appointment for a counselor meanwhile prayer for a miracle you can deal with it all without drugs. Once your on them your on them forever!
Anytime you have to rely on some sort of substance to make it through the day you have a problem. Go to a doctor. They will be able to get you therapy and medication as long as your very willing to get hlep. I have general anxiety disorder and have been on meds for about 2 months now. It has helped a lot. it has especially helped with my relationship. I used to accuse my fiance of cheating on me. Now I am a lot more laid back and cheating never crosses my mind. Go get help. Good luck
I'd say that or perhaps toxic worrying and maybe a little ocd.
When you had the depression meds, did you also enroll in therapy of some sort?
If I were you, I'd call the doctor or if you are currently employed, seek the AEP program which would allow you some free visits to a therapist.
If you are so worked up to the point where you may do harm to yourself or others, call 911. By harm, I don't mean violence, but if you're at the point where you may become delusional, I'd still call. If you experience one of those you may really have some big problems.
It sounds like depression, anxiety and substance abuse. I mean no disrespect, but using drugs and booze to help with your stress levels is making your stress even worse. I would suggest you first speak to someone for an evaluation of your drinking to see if you are at addiction level. Getting sober will make so many of those demons go away - you'll be amazed. Also, get into therapy and keep taking the meds if your doctor says to. It's time to deal with the past and move on to a better future! Good luck...
Don't wait to call your doctor, why live in such a miserable existence, you have a lot of problems and your doctor will identify what they are and set up the right treatment for you, try a support group as well and have regular therapy.
From what u have mentioned it is certainly not a case of Severe anxiety disorder.
You better attend a Psychiatric Service in ur vicinity which deals with problems of drugs taking behaviour.
It is hard to tell what is going on in the YA format. It is best to get help . You can start with your doctor and get a referral to a good therapist.
Wow! You have a lot going on. Only a professional can diagnose you, but I would definitely recommend getting treatment.
Anxiety is unproductive worry - so if you're worrying about things that you cannot change, that's anxiety. In your case it sounds justified.
You also have some symptoms that sound like self-esteem issues. You may have social anxiety disorder or depression.
Mental health issues are often co-morbid, meaning you can have more than one at a time. You may be anxious AND depressed AND alcohol dependent.
Namaste, people care. Please ask your doctor for help.
