is this new for you? I have schizoaffective disorder since 11 years, and when off the meds, hallucinations generally become stronger and stronger. If you are on meds and still having hallucinations, you might need another med to which you respond better.

This is a very frightening and difficult condition to have.but I give you credit for your courage in facing it with such courage...many people are too afraid and they stay in denial and don't get treatment and they get worse.
From your writing I can see you that you have much to offer and I imagine that you could be a great help to others who are suffering. I enourage you to pursue the best treatment services you can get...
I know what a challenge it is for people with serious mental illnesses to get the help and support they need ...I'm a social worker...and believe me...I get disheartened too.
But there are a strong peer (patients helping patients) movement in many places ...where suffering people are coming together to help and support each other in their recovery and coping.
Keep your appointments, take your medications, monitor your symptoms (I see you know what they are like), and monitor the medication side effects ( many people quit because of the side effects...please don't quit...talk to the psychiatrists about it and look for a solution with the doctor...if needed...change doctors)...and decide what's important to you in your life...and fight for it.
And lead the way for others...become an advocate for the many people who are being forgotten...and often imprisoned.

The psychotic part of mental illness occurs when the depression chemicals are strong enough in the spinal fluid to affect the auto brain. The wires from the two upper brains all pass through the lower brain and when induced chemically the auto brain will do many strange things . The chemicals can't be removed by the kidneys so it take a long time for a change. Some are able to use endorphins to cancel the chemicals but it is not always possible to have some.
