I am discovering at the root of every dysfunction lies allergic reaction to toxins and chemicals in our environment and foods. You are probably very sensitive to these things. Get to a naturalistic doctor and be tested for toxic overload and sensitivities. This would be a good place to start and once the offending allergens are eliminated you can begin to adequately start the healing from childhood wounds process. Right now everything from moods to bodily symptoms are being amplified and your nerves are raw so you won't see things in the proper perspective. Good luck.
Went to my Dr. for help. They have medications that help but mine was from low thyroid problem. Got my med changed. Go get checked by a physician.
After about three years of therapy and medication, my diagnosis was that I was born with a chemical imbalance--and I will need to take the anxiety meds for my entire life. They said that I inherited it...
Now, in addition to taking the medicine, I:
-meditate
-walk outdoors in nature every day
-drink only 1 caffeinated beverage per day
-use no added sugar in/on anything
-write (every day--my book, my journal, letters)
-use lavender aromatherapy (air freshener, candles, incense, bath and body products, even cleaning products and detergent--of course, not all at once :D)
-exercise indoors (Yoga, light aerobics)
Hi,
I've suffered from anxiety my whole life im not sure if it's inherited or not but sure enough its been there for alot of reasons such as illness at a young age and bullying. It has stopped me going out to clubs (only have been once when forced!) going into work, large groups of people, giving opinions and even break downs in family.
It still carries on now (im 19) but chin up! there is alot that can be done for anxiety, the best bit of advice talking from experiance is to do those things that make you anxious as often as you can perhaps with the support of a good friend or family member. Do you suffer from low self esteem? could you improve the way you see yourself dealing with the situation. Try to convince yourself that you will succeed and it is more than likely going to happen.
E.g. talking to waitresses to get bills instead of letting your friends do it, say hi to everyone you see, walk with your head high instead of at the ground, the dreaded one 'returning something'. You can do it!! Just keep practising and you will get there, it just takes time.
hope it helps good luck!
Take care!

Anxiety can last for years. It comes and goes in the form of anxiety attacks sometimes. It can be treated with medication. Things like exercise can be helpful in dealing with it. A psychiatrist and counsellor are helpful in dealing with it with medication and therapy.
