Swollen & Tender Testical - Whats the Possiable Causes?

My Son's testicle is swollen and tender. He is 22 yrs old - He have had this develop a couple of times over the last two years - It usally go away. What are some possiable causes of his problem. He is going to the Doctor tuesday. He decribes it as fear like he have been kicked within his private area.

A sore and swollen testicle contained by a young man can be a torsion (the testicle twists on the spermatic cord, strangulating the blood supply).

It is a medical emergency.

The reality that it has get better in yesteryear does not mean that it is undamaging to leave this time.

There can be other cause for a sore swollen testis, but you should always assume that it is a torsion until proven otherwise.

i know someone beside this similar problem.i believe it is where near is some kind of build up (little chunks) and sometimes it really bothers him b/c of the extra solidity and it helps to wear supportive underwear to cart some of the pressure off...resembling boxer-briefs.i think a doctor can do an outpatient surgery to remove the problem...but your son may enjoy some other problem...just recounting you what i know.good luck
