Yeah people like being pleasured, but at the same time, some enjoy pleasuring others. It sounds to me like he wanted to make you happy but you didn't let him. I've had the same argument with my girlfriend. Sometimes making others happy make those same people just as happy. Oh, and the rough day at work probably made him even more irritable.
