I just got it done about 3 weeks ago. It's pretty much healed up but still a little swollen. I didn't have any problems at all. General anesthesia is very interesting, though. I slept all day after that one. I didn't have a problem so much with pain, but with the sensitivity. That was skin that had only touched other skin before and now it's rubbing against cotton. It's not painful per se, but kind of annoying. That should only last for a week or so, then everything should be almost normal. Don't worry too much about the swelling. It can look a little scary, but it DOES go away. Good luck!
BTW, I'm 25 and it wasn't a life or death situation. Don't listen to all the nay-sayers. There's not that much of a difference when it comes to sex. It's like eating an ice cream sundae without sprinkles. You don't really notice the difference.

Let's just say it's a lot more involved for an adult compared to an infant. Be prepared for some fairly serious pain during healing. Take meticulous care of the wound to prevent infection and you''l be fine.

you shouldn't have any problems with it after the surgery. All they do is remove that outer layer of skin. The only real difference men notice is that they can have sex longer. Here's the science: when an uncircumsized male has an erection, that outer layer of skin acts like a tight fitting sleeve and puts pressure on the penis so you end up climaxing faster. Without that outer layer of skin, there's no constant pressure so you can more easily pace yourself and make sex last longer. But you're 17 and shouldn't be having sex anyway.

~Don't let these anti-circumcision people scare you. They think it's so important. If that were true, why do so many get it? It looks nice, mouth watering really. Then there's the fact that it won't hold on to bacteria, STD's or HIV, and you'll last longer.

Plus, many guys are pissed at their parents, for them getting circumsized without their approval. Guys even try to restore it by streching it, because as men get older, they begin to lose the sensitivity they once had. Hince, sexual dysfunction at an older age. You don't want that do you?
I had mine done about two years ago. You'll get along just fine during and after surgery. The anesthesia will be enough to knock you out during the surgery so you won't be able to feel the pain as they do the surgery.
With me, I was able to drive home after the surgery. I was only in outpatient for about three hours. They check to make sure that you can urinate fine before you leave the hospital.
The first five days will be your worst, I had my bandage slip off on the first day and while it did not hurt much at all... it bled like a banshee. Other than that, I went for a follow up with my surgeon two weeks later, and in another week after that, I had healed up perfectly...
One more thing... DO NOT MASTURBATE for at least three weeks (or longer) until your penis gets better. Jacking off sooner than this could cause serious repercussions including the incision tearing open and no telling what else.
