Gain muscle w/o gym equipment?

Hi,

I"m skinny ( 5"9, 110 lbs.) and really need to gain some muscle mass, specifically, arms, abs and chest, by the end of summer. In what ways can I do this w/o having to buy any equipment/special protein at all? Are push-ups and squats enough?

All you need is some weights, you could get a cheap set for 40-50 bucks. But if you arent willing to spend any money at all you got to improvise, use some gallons of milk or water to lift as weights. Squats without any weights will probably burn fat and tone you up, as so will the push ups, but you'll barely build any muscle.Plus squats only work your lower back and thighs, push ups work you upper back and chest, if you do a diamond push up you can work your triceps, but all your other muscles won't really improve. As for the protein supplements, you don't need to buy them cause you have food, a day or even two or one hours before a workout eat foods high in calories, and carbs for energy. So after everyworkout eat foods high in protein and calories(healthy ones) to rebuild mmuscle and get bigger. Just buy the cheap weight set to get started. Can I have ten points please?

You need to hire a personal trainer if you are on a deadline. Learn to bulk.
Do those and run as well
just do a lot untill you can't do anymore
also eat allot of protein go to a pawn shop even and buy a tape that you can work out with it should help you properly exercise all your muscles also joining a sport team might help
People did exercises and gained mass before gyms were popular. You can do body weight exercises. Pull ups, sit ups, push ups. You can also use things for weights, like canned goods while curling your arms, etc.
well you can do pull ups on a bar
what i do to work out is push ups with something on my back
i use a rice bag and you could also add more on top of it
oh yes and you can go swimming
swimming builds muscle mass all over the body

I do it the ghetto Vietnamese style :D
pull ups, sit ups, bicycle kicks, pushups, diamond pushups, body builders, squats, triceps lifts on chairs.

There are some exercises here to do using your body weight only that should have you built up in aruond six months. There are also video instructions on how to do these properly.
