Answer:
I am on depo right now, married with a son... and I hate it. I had my period for 6 weeks straight, and I am also on wits end with my husband. I have no energy for anything, and I ALSO am losing hair like crazy, especially in the shower! I am getting off of depo and going on implanon. research it, it looks pretty good.
depo has a lot worse effects than what you're describing, there are a lot better methods of birth control. if you haven't already, you could try the copper-t iud. it causes heavier bleeding but prevents pregnancy without hormones and a lot of people seem to like it. failing that, you could ask your doctor about a low-dose birth control pill. first of all, they prevent pregnancy as long as you take them around the same time every night (which isn't as hard as everyone makes it sound). second of all, they make your periods much lighter and some pills make them shorter as well. if you want to get extreme, you could try getting your fallopian tubes cut or blocked. they have an easy procedure now which is surgery-free where they insert coils into your fallopian tubes, they create scar tissue which blocks the tube and the egg can't get through. this would only be if you don't want any more children of your own though. there are other options, these are just ones i would try first, you should talk to your gyno and see if there is anything she recommends for you. good luck, i hope you find something suitable.
Don't get it anymore!
