Cramps and the pill?

Im 16 and when i have my period my cramps are horrible! I have had to stay home from school, not go out with friends because they are so bad. Regular tyonal or ibueprophen (dont think i spelled that right) dont work. I was just wondering if the pill really works for cramps and am i to young to get the pill?

Answer:
The pill, I assume the birth control pill, stops your period from, and then it regulates it so it comes at the end of the time that you finish taking the pill. You should try to avoid taking it if you don't have to because it can lead to problems when you're older and you want to have kids. Whether or not you want to have kids now may change throughout the course of you years. Just try taking some midol, and exercise when you get your period; it helps to elevate cramps.
No, your not too young for the pill. Regardless, you need to talk with your mother or another closer adult, and go and see a gynecologist. If you haven't ever seen one, you need to go asap..especially if your sexually active!!
I have heard that they do help with the cramps. I have also heard of girls alot younger than you getting on the to help with the cramps, so, no, you aren't too young.
The reason you have horrible cramps (PMS) is because you have way too much body toxins. Go get some massage will help a lot. If you can found somebody can do the detoxification massage, along with Qigong massage, the pain should go away in an hour. Pill is not the answer. Source: www.energymassagecenter.com.
