There's nothing wrong with having sex if you just had the Colpo because that's just the scope the doctor puts into your vagina, but you're talking about the biopsies. I've had six Colpo's within the last year and two biopsy sessions over 3 areas on my cervix (not fun!). My doctor told me to abstain for 5-7 days after each biopsy.and with five days only (of healing), it wont do your cervix any good. Trust me-it will be uncomfortable. I'd go with your first visit advice-it's best to wait 2 weeks until the biopsied areas on your cervix are completely healed, and after 2 wks. is up-then you can have sexual intercourse.

What does sex have to do with a colonoscopy? I have been having them since 1984 and NOTHING has ever been said to me. One has nothing to do with the other
I've had a total of 4 colonoscopies and was never put to sleep for them which I hear they sedate you now (I drove myself home-and the night before prep is the worst of course). I have never heard of being instructed to not have sex afterward.
Sorry, can't help you with this question but I totally understand the prep thing. The procedure wasn't a picnic but I was awake and it wasn't that bad.
